Reset Wordpress Administrator Password
I just happened to check one of my personal installation of WordPress (2.5) for an experimental project this afternoon and when I’ve hit the wp-admin my original administrator password for strange reasons wasn’t working anymore, I’ve tried the good old “Lost Password?” link, got the e-mail confirmation with the new key but only to find out that the key was incorrect. No matter how many times I will reset the password and get the email in my inbox, the same incorrect key was sent.
After spending sometime on the database and Googling for help I came across this handy php file called emergency.php, It allows you to change your WordPress administrator password and it sends off an e-mail to the blog administrator telling him that the password has changed.
The file works on WordPress 2.0, 2.2.x and 2.3.x but I just did it in a 2.5 installation and worked like a charm.
You need to upload the emergency.php file to the root of your WordPress installation via ftp and then type your blog url followed by /emergency.php where you will see the following screen:

After reseting the password to what you want, you will receive an e-mail (if you are the administrator) with the new password, after checking that everything works DELETE the file from the server and save it for other emergency, this worked perfectly and saved me many hours of researching and hedeaches.

mediaCORE Studios has started development of Webisodeguru.com, the internet’s number one source for quality webisode reviews and ratings, featuring in-depth and detailed cover-story articles about the best-of-best of up-and-coming webisodes, inclusive of interviews, news and technology developments, as well as several featured articles outlining what we think are the best webisodes, producers and actors, and why.

A webisode is effectively an internet short film or series that is broadcasted online as a web episode. They can be inclusive of many facets including, drama, non-fiction, reality TV, comedy, music and many other variations. While there is no industry standard on the length of such webisodes, they tend to range from 1-15 minutes.
Many are productions by major companies who are trying to garner a large internet viewer-ship to catapult their show to network television. Webisodes are very rapidly gaining in popularity, some of them garnering millions of views per month, not to mention loyal users who log on everyday to see when the next internet episode will air.
Due to that fact they are free to watch and that they do not have commercials in them, webisodes are quickly becoming a popular new form of online TV.
Google Analytics and AIR Badge WordPress plugin
A while ago and before Adobe AIR was officially out of beta I’ve came across a wonderful little application developed for the new Adobe AIR platform, a desktop version of the popular statistics tracking system that the good folks at Google made available for free to everyone.
This version of the Analytics tool was developed for the AIR platform with the advantage of being supported in Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OSX and Linux Operating Systems.
It has all the features of the official Google Web Application and you can switch easily between accounts and different reports with elegant transitions, I’ve been using this little app a lot lately and I’m pleased to see more and more AIR applications appearing all over the internet.
Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when you select a report:

If you want to try this application keep reading and grab it from the WordPress AIR Badge plugin below.
AIR Badge WordPress plugin
I wanted to mention in this post the early development of a WordPress plugin for embedding Adobe AIR applications in WordPress posts. The developer Peter Elst made a great job in creating this AIR Badge install plugin, if you are ready to distribute your brand new AIR application, go to his site grab the plugin and follow the easy steps to have your application plubished in your blog ready for visitors to install and test.
Here is a sample of this AIR badge for WordPress plugin with the Google Analytics AIR Suite, click on install and you will get the Google AIR Suite in seconds.
